Everything you can do with your Sinchana account
How to book a vehicle, pay for it, keep it longer, get your deposit back, and hire accessories — written for the person doing it, not for staff. The menu on the left follows the order you would normally do things in.
Press / to search and type what you are trying to do (e.g. “cancel”, “deposit”, “referral”).
What you can do
One account covers the website and the app.
With a Sinchana account you can book a two-wheeler for a date range, pay online, extend the hire while you still have the vehicle, cancel, hire or buy accessories such as helmets and rain gear, and track every payment and refund in one place. Everything below works the same on the website and in the app; a booking made on one shows up immediately on the other.
Create your account
A mobile number and one OTP.
Signing up
- Open Register and fill in your name, mobile number, email and a password.
- If a friend gave you a referral code, enter it here — this is the only moment it can be applied, and it is worth money to you both. See Wallet & referrals.
- We send a one-time code to your mobile. Enter it on the OTP screen to confirm the number is yours.
Your number is also how we reach you about a booking, so use the one you carry.
Sign in & passwords
Getting back in.
- Sign in with your mobile number and password.
- Forgotten it? Use Forgot Password — we send a reset link or code to your registered number, and you set a new password.
- Changing it — once signed in, use Change Password under your account.
Your documents
Upload once, ready every time.
- Go to My Documents.
- Choose the document type (driving licence, Aadhaar and so on) and upload a clear photo or scan. One file per type — if you need to replace one, remove the old one first.
- Our team reviews it. Until then it shows as pending.
Your profile shows KYC Verified once your driving licence is approved and has not expired. Once a document is approved, its number on your profile is locked; contact us if it needs changing.
Your documents are stored encrypted and are only ever shown through short-lived private links, which is why a preview you left open for a while may need reloading.
Find a vehicle
Dates first, then the bike.
- Pick your pick-up and drop dates and times and the location.
- The list shows only what is genuinely free for that whole window, so anything you can see, you can book.
- Narrow it down by model, fuel type (including electric), or a price range.
- Each card shows the rate, whether a helmet is included, and the refundable deposit.
Nothing free for your dates?
Ask to be told when there is.
If everything is taken for the window you picked, use Notify me when available. You join the waitlist for those dates, and we alert you the moment a vehicle frees up — usually because someone cancelled or returned early. You are not committed to anything by joining.
Review & confirm
Everything priced before you pay.
The summary shows your trip, the vehicle, and a full price breakdown before any money moves:
- Rent for the period you chose, plus GST.
- Add-ons you tick, such as an extra helmet.
- Refundable deposit — held, not spent. See Security deposit.
- Coupon — type a code and press Apply; the discount appears in the summary straight away.
- Wallet — if you have a balance it is offered here and comes off the amount payable.
The Total Payable line is what will be charged. If a figure looks wrong, go back and change the dates or add-ons rather than paying and asking for an adjustment afterwards.
Paying
Card, UPI or net banking.
Payment is handled by our payment gateway — you can pay by card, UPI or net banking. Sinchana never sees or stores your card details.
- Depending on the vehicle and dates you may be asked for the full amount or an advance, with the balance due at the counter. The summary says which.
- When the payment succeeds you land on a confirmation with your booking number — something like
SB-2026-08-00042. Quote it if you contact us. - The booking then goes to our team for approval. You will be notified when it is confirmed.
Pick-up & drop-off
At the branch you chose.
- Bring your original driving licence. The booking is in your name and the licence must match.
- Staff record the odometer reading and check the vehicle over with you at both ends. Point out any existing damage before you ride away — it protects you at return.
- Return the vehicle by the drop time you booked. If you are going to be late, extend first — it is cheaper than a late return.
Keep it longer
Extend while you still have the vehicle.
- In My Bookings, open the booking and press Extend.
- Choose how much longer you need — in hours or days. The extra charge is shown before you commit.
- Send the request. It needs approving, because the vehicle may already be promised to someone else for those dates.
- Once approved, pay the extension from the same screen. The new drop time applies when the payment is made, not when the request was sent.
Every extension you have asked for is listed under Extension History on the booking, with its status.
Running late
What a late return costs.
If you return after the drop time without an approved extension, a late fee applies and is added to the booking. It is worked out from how late the vehicle actually was, and you will see it in the charge breakdown at return. Extending in advance is always cheaper — and it keeps the vehicle available to you legitimately.
Cancelling
And what comes back.
- Open the booking in My Bookings and press Cancel Booking.
- Give a reason if you would like to — it helps us, and it is optional.
- Confirm. The screen then shows the policy applied, any penalty, and the refund status.
How much of an advance comes back depends on how close to the pick-up time you cancel; the tiers are shown when you cancel, so you can decide with the number in front of you. Refunds go back the way you paid — see Refunds.
Security deposit
Held while you have the vehicle.
The deposit is not a charge. It is held against damage, loss or unpaid dues, and released after you return the vehicle and it has been checked.
- If everything is in order, the full amount is refunded.
- If there is damage or an outstanding charge, the cost is itemised and taken from the deposit; the rest comes back. You can see exactly what was deducted and why on the booking.
- Traffic fines (RTO challans) from your rentals that are still unpaid can be paid from the deposit when you return the vehicle. Each fine is listed with its challan number on the booking and the invoice, and the rest of the deposit is refunded.
Refunds
Back the way you paid.
Money paid online is refunded to the same card or account through the payment gateway — it cannot be handed back as cash. Bank timelines apply, so allow a few working days after the refund is issued before chasing it.
Every refund appears in Payment History with its status, so you can see whether it has been issued and when.
Wallet & referrals
Money you have earned, spent on your next hire.
Your wallet
Your Sinchana Wallet balance is shown in My Bookings, with a history of everything that went in or out. The balance is offered at checkout and comes off the amount payable — you do not need to ask for it.
Referring a friend
- Share your referral code — you will find it in your account.
- Your friend must enter it when they register. It cannot be added afterwards.
- When they complete their first booking, the reward lands in your wallet.
There is a cap on how much can be earned from referrals in total, so the code is for friends rather than for posting publicly.
Payment history
Every rupee, in one list.
Payment History lists what you paid, when, against which booking, and what has been refunded. Bookings also carry their own breakdown — rent, add-ons, deposit, discount, penalty and balance due — so you can always see how a total was reached. Invoices are available on the booking once it is complete.
Accessories — rent or buy
Helmets, rain gear and more.
Accessories can be hired for a period or bought outright — the item page lets you switch between the two, and the price changes accordingly.
- Renting — pick your dates. Longer hires are priced at the better weekly or monthly rate automatically, so you are never charged more for keeping something longer.
- Buying — no dates and no deposit; you keep it.
- Stock is shown per branch, so you can see where the item actually is before you order.
Checkout & collection
Branch pick-up or delivery.
- Add what you want to the cart, then go to Checkout.
- Choose Pick up at branch — and select the branch — or Deliver to my address, then fill in the address and pin code.
- Apply a coupon if you have one. A code may require a minimum order value and may cap the discount; the amount that actually comes off is shown in the summary.
- Check the totals: subtotal, coupon discount, refundable deposit for hired items, and the grand total.
- Pay. You will get an order confirmation, and an invoice once the order is fulfilled.
Hired accessories carry a refundable deposit, released when you bring the item back in good condition — the same idea as a vehicle deposit.
Your orders
What you have hired or bought.
My Orders shows every accessory order with its status, what you paid, and the invoice. Bring hired items back by the return date — as with vehicles, late returns and damage are charged and come out of the deposit before the balance is refunded.
Profile & notifications
Keeping your details current.
- Update Profile — your name, email and address. Keep the mobile number current: it is where booking alerts go.
- Notifications — booking confirmations, extension decisions, return reminders and waitlist alerts, all in one list.
Raise a complaint
And follow it to a reply.
- Open Complaints and press New Complaint.
- If it is about one of your bookings, choose that booking, so the branch that served you can answer straight away. Give it a title and describe what happened.
- It becomes a thread — our team replies on it and you can reply back, so the whole conversation stays in one place rather than scattered across calls.
Common questions
The ones we are asked most.
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| The bike I want is not in the list | It is already booked for those dates, or it is in for service. Change the dates, pick another, or join the waitlist for a notification. |
| Can someone else ride it? | No. The booking is in your name and the original licence shown at pick-up must match it. |
| When do I get my deposit back? | After you return the vehicle and it has been checked. If anything was damaged, or a traffic fine of yours is still unpaid, that cost is itemised and the balance is refunded. |
| It says I cannot book because of a fine | A traffic fine from one of your rentals has been unpaid for more than 30 days since we told you about it. Pay it on My Bookings (Pay Now) or at the branch, and you can book again straight away. |
| Can I have my refund in cash? | Not for an online payment — it goes back to the card or account you paid from. |
| My extension is still pending | It needs approval because the vehicle may be booked after you. Once approved you must also pay it before the new drop time applies. |
| My coupon was refused | Check it has not expired, that your order meets any minimum value, and that it applies to what you are booking. |
| I entered a referral code too late | It can only be applied while registering. It cannot be added to an existing account. |
| A document preview will not open | The private link it uses expires quickly. Reload My Documents for a fresh one. |
| I was charged but see no booking | Check My Bookings and Payment History before paying again. If it is genuinely missing, contact us with the time and amount. |
